This is the BEST Western movie ever. Sorry Clint. But there's no denying that this movie was inspired by Seven Samurai. I'm a bigger fan of Samurais, so i think that movie is better. But nonetheless, Magnificent Seven is...AWESOME.

Absolutely great, one of the best westerns ever made-I have seen it 100times-always something new to find in it.This film is one of milestones in western genre-the first 'Great Train Robbery'-silent,the second 'High Noon', the third 'The Magnificent Seven, and the last 'Once Upon the Time in the West'. I can watch all these films any time.

Yes very true. Talking about influences, I was watching a film just the other night: 'Once Upon A Time In America' - in its look and feel clearly influenced by 'The Godfather', which was about Italian gangsters, but 'Once...' was made by an Italian, but about non-Italian gangsters!

I agree, I like a good western. I thought Tombstone and Wyatt Earp were both very good, and that one that's just been made with Viggo Mortensen in looks worth watching

What's interesting is that Kurosawa did the & Samurai under the influence of Hollywood Westerns, particularly those of Ford and Hawks: and then we come back and use him as inspiration--wonderful example of the benefits of cultural cross-pollination.
