with the availability of c.f.l lighting home growing is exceptionaly cheap. the process is called micro growing and is one of the stealthiest ways to grow. a whole set up can be constructed in areas as small as rubbermaid totes, small dressors, speaker boxes ect. also 400w hps light systems can be found for 150 or less. so in theory for 250 bucks you can grow ounce after ounce. i think my speech this year will be about e z efficient home growing of medical grade cannabis. thanks

Chris1178R: If it's going to be legalized, then making it illegal to grow makes no sense. If using it becomes legal, growing and selling it should also become legal. Everyone I know who smokes tobacco buys it at a store, in stead of growing it. There are a lot of tobacco fields in my part of the country, but they are owned by large-scale professional farm operations. If marijuana were legal to grow, people would still make a profit.

Chris1178R: Do you know how expensive it is to grow marijuana at home? Pot growers make a profit because the drug is illegal, therefore limiting the scale to which it can be produced, causing the price to rise through the principle of supply and demand. If it were legal, it could be grown in large fields, thereby increasing the amount of weed on the market and lowering the price. Home growing would become unprofitable and inconvenient. How many people do you know who grow their own tobacco?

The medical efficacy of medical Cannabis has always been a compelling issue on its' own and the need for alleviation of suffering is everyone's priority. But nobody's hiding behind anybody. We are celebrating the versatility of this remarkable gift from Mother Nature and our Constitutional right to autonomy, while recognizing that prohibitions are always failures.Alcohol prohibition was ended partly by non-drinkers, concerned about their communities. Nothing self centered about that.

I support the legalization of marijuana with the understanding there would have to be limits. For those against it I have food for thought for you " you dont hear about a pot smoker going postal!!" ?????

I believe Marijuana should be legalized for legitamite medical conditions. The rest of you hide behind the sick people, in hopes of getting legalized for all. That's disguisting. That's self centeredness at it's best.

Thank You. I totally agree. I am in North Carolina now and I think it should be legal for certain purposes. The government cannot tax it because they know if they legalize it, people will start growing it and noone will make a profit. If thats the case, then ONLY make growing it illegal!I cannot smoke it medicinally because theres no reason for me to right now. I just like it alot better and think its alot safer than Alcohol!!!THANK YOU!
