XD LIES! Your friend must have been talking about the theory they came up with in one of the Tomoyo Video Diaries after a story he told with his eyes open turned out to be true. But that was only a coincidence! When Yamazaki's eyes are open, it only means that Chiharu is stepping on his foot.
