Exactly, there is about half a page if I remember correctly explaining the song. For example the first line is about Dave Navarro, ' Sarcastic Mr.Know it all' . He was known for his innate sarcasm from his days with the band. It is really funny to me how everyone always thinks RHCP songs are about drugs.

to the comment about this song being about heroine, i highly HIGHLY doubt that the chili peppers are still using heroine, or any drug for that matter. obviously yall are forgetting that they lost a guitar player to heroine? and a drummer from the death of the guitar player [which was from a heroine overdose] and john frusciante quit in 93 and started using heroine, but then he returned for the californication album AFTER successfully completing rehab.
