Yep, as long as he's well. Doesn't make him any less of a great musician.

Well, if you'll believe what you read on the internet, they got married around 1996 and divorced on 2000. The White Stripes were not so huge back then and Jack White certainly didn't have the status that he has now. It was Elephant that made them rock stars. And that was when Jack decided to start using models on the Stripes videos then dated Renee then ended up marrying a Brit Supermodel. So yeah, that's very typical rock star cliche to me. But hey, as long as he's happy!

I agree. It's apples and oranges basically. Both are good but just not the same. Although I would go out on a limb here and say Jack White is a better guitar player than Kurt was. But then I would also say that Kurt was a great songwriter who didn't feel the need to write overtly complicated compositions to get his point across and there's just something about his songs that could really move you.

I think if Kurt was around, he'll do a completely different take on this song and it would likely be played acoustic. If you've followed Nirvana, it was very apparent that Kurt was slowly veering away from the loudness and feedback they were known for in their last year. Some of his favorite songs in "In Utero" were the slow ones too. So there.

I probably should've elaborated on my comment. I too think Jack White's voice blows away Kurt's. I was more or less commenting on the style especially the chorus. White's vocal range is far superior and really evident on The Consolers of the Lonely disc.

I think Jack's voice beats Cobain's non-articulated mummbling. |
