Samvel is not the only Armenian here... the second violinist Armen is also Armenian... plus we have the oldest Armenian instrument duduk and the great Greek talent Yanni... what do you expect from such a mix!!!you can feel both pain and hope in this music... it makes you close your eyes and................... Samvel's intro and playing is pretty Armenian. Its still has to have the European influence huh? lolIts beautiful. He makes sound like a kamanche when he first comes in.
