This is easily one of the coolest songs ever written. Consummate genius? I don't think there's a debate there. However, I think the most important thing is how good his music can still make people feel over three decades later. I find it very difficult to feel depressed while listening to Hendrix's music; no matter how bad my day's going, it always lifts me up. There's a true musician for you; and most of all, a true human being -- and who could ask for more than that?
