Unfortunately this is true. Punk aint what it used to be, and punks aint what they used to be. Now its about the image. When I was a teen, it was about not giving a fuck, being yourself, non-comforming. Now you just look "Cool" if your a punk. Back in the day, Punks had varrying sounds, this is no longer the case with todays shitty "Punk Bands"

I like the fact that you call punk rock a philosophy when its more like philosophIES. There were bands from all different backgrounds, with completely different views, political affiliations, and sounds. Punks not dead, it lives on in the people that embraced the punk lifestyle, and even just the music. Punk will never die.
