It's interesting you say that. I was a viola player for many years, and I used to say the violin was a toy, whereas the viola was an INSTRUMENT. I described it as "shrill". Of course, I was just teasing violinists, but it was fun seeing how seriously they took it all. :)

Chibiguy go for Viola if anything, it is one of the most beautiful instruments in the orchestra. And it's better sounding than the screechy violin
