It really is too bad that only Nashville country with all-American (only American) talent is acceptable. These guys are far better than most of what is on the radio today.

i saw this video once like 3 years ago on cable and made sure to remember the name so that one day I could listen to it again then youtube was invented and 1 1/2 years after that..here it is..just something about this bands song that touched my heart....

Anyone who knows anything about actual MUSIC knows that "American Country Radio" is nothing but a joke these days. The labels will take any no talent idle show winner they can get, as long as they LOOK good. Doesnt matter that they cant sing or play anything that even remotely RESEMBLES country music. These guys and gals actually had talent, and could play country music from the heart. oh well, at least we still have Jackson and Strait. Without them, country would be dead.

I saw them twice in concert and got to talk to them afterwards.. They were captivating...classically trained at conservatory in Moscow....Knew they couldnt make it as a band because of prejudice by American Country Radio....wouldnt play their songs....really disappoiting..They had such high hopes....breaks your heart..

I've seen "Bering Strait" four times in concert, including their last performance in Dowagiac, Michigan; absolutely, a distinguished group of musicians, who have captivated audiences with their music and appeal. Check out their concert (available for Internet viewing) on Michael Johnathon's Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour (archive #254), recorded in Lexington, Kentucky a few years back. Nina Gilden Seavey's documentary about the band, "The Ballad of Bering Strait," is also still available.
