The Algorithm has already been cracked, it's been public for years now. One of my favorite papers is Elad Pinhas Barkan's research thesis "Cryptanalysis of Ciphers and Protocols" out of the Israel Institute of Technology. It was produced in March of '06 and he/they weren't the first to crack it but still one of the better papers on it.

Obviously they aren't gonna tell you the algorithm, but it may be based one more than just an algorithm.

in theory couldn't the new Ki's / Keys be intercepted and cracked as well. The A1/5 A3 and A8 Algorithms are easy enough to crack there are tons of papers out there on it but what algorithm do you use for your Secure GSM?
