Maybe, but if you have a timing issue, it's not something a tap and rack will fix. Failures with revolvers are always catastrophic. They actually can't 'jam', by definition, but timing issues are very common, and will put you out of the fight, whereas even the worst malfunctions with an autoloader are fixed with a tap and rack, or possibly the removal of the magazine for a double-feed.

i agree he is a real idiot and as for the walther in the video i would find a good hollowpoint that cycled well in it make sure i had a good reliable magazine and i would feel very comfortable with it though i still prefer my 1911a1

Revolvers are really, REALLY under-rated. I prefer semi-autos because, well, that is my preference, BUT:1) revolvers almost NEVER jam, they'll put my glock to shame any dayand 2) revolvers are really, really simple, you give someone a revolver and there isn't must that they need to learn and there isn't much to screw up

buzman1985 is obviously a highly skilled a respected warrior and we should all listen to him bash everything he does not understand or like. The Okinawans have a name for someone like that "kouchi bouchi" (sp?) it translates to "mouth warrior"

Thanks for posting this here, I've seen other videos in this series and have been impressed with both the amount of info introduced as well as Clint's no nonsense instruction.

How do idiots look?

A defensive gun HAS to be a reliable weapon... if you have one of those handguns that has never really been fired, collecting dust or even rusting, and not maintained etc... then it could very well be a paper weight.

i almost bought a mossberg, for home defense, then i realized i'm better trained with pretty much everything BUT a shotgun. They're just not my cup of tea. As long as you don't have to reload, i think revolvers are adequate.. |
