But since he was a part of the manipulated Living. (and as you can see in the montage at the end of the film) He was part of the sect of manipulated living that remembered what happened (but interpreted it as a dream); however, he is seen crying when he wakes up so perhaps he will change his ways because he envisioned how his following that he had worked for would crumble because of his addiction.
