No Apps for 'PC'? Has Apple heard of freeware?

Time is only relative.

Wow, three replies on 2 month old comments. Bored much?I realise you are attempting to provoke an argument for your amusement, so I'll leave it at that and won't respond to you from now on.

I've fixed them, networked them, programmed them, and I've gotten certifications in it. I've seen the evolution of computers go from the Adam computer to the present. Bottom line is this: Apple has always made products of taste, ingenuity and superior design that has left Microsoft and any other company for that matter in the dust. Back in the day, everyone was saying Macs can't play games. Well, now that they can, the world is theirs. I give them 2013 to take the home market.

Annoyed, you say Mac is a proprietary platform, but it's funny how you can run any operating system on a Mac and have any choice of software you want. Sounds proprietary to me. I've owned every platform on the market for the past 20 years. Nothing comes close to Apple Macintosh in 2008, and nothing ever will. Everything PC has, Apple has one better. I don't even have to mention that the Zune zucks, zude.

PC customization? Oh, you mean spend more money to get the same thing that's on a Mac when you buy it? lol Hope you're not more annoyed now, Dragon.

Steve Steere said it best when he said "support fails when it comes to Apple"

You need to learn to read; I said Apple dictates what is allowed to go on their platform by their approval, I didn't say they don't allow any 3rd party products to appear on their platform whatsoever.Mac is a proprietary platform; learn what that means before you throw insults around, everything I have said goes in line with Mac being a proprietary platform.

My god! you weren't joking.. you actually are retarded.Haha where the fcuk are you're pulling that hilariously ignorant crap from. You have absolutely no idea, and you're really setting an embarrassing example for your fellow pc users (of which, unfortunately, I partly am), as well as making yourself look like a complete moron.Have you ever heard of Adobe? Or Autodesk?
AnnoyedDragon (June 5, 2008 at 2:23 pm)
Freedom of choice must seem stupid to someone who is so used to the comforts of being dictated to; Mac is a proprietary platform, you use only what Apple allows you to use with no other options.Freedom of choice is a highly valued trait on PC, being an open platform means anyone can develop for it. To Mac users that freedom brings the risk of bugs, incompatibility or viruses so they are quite happy to stay inside Apples safe zone where they control everything.
