I disagree. The album version is the best thing i've ever heard and the solo is so much better and the bass is more prominent throughout. Sorry mate. But yeah, it still sounds good no doubt!!

I really think this is better than the version on the album - I like Garth's organ work a little better on this version, and Robby's solo is a LOT better than the album version.

aww, that's a drag long black veil got cut off. nothing i can say about the band but they're my all time favorite group. i was bringing 'the band' cassette to school when i was 1o. lol. love seeing stuff of theirs i haven't seen before.

Got to see Levon this year in NY, rocking...I think the Band's one of the most underrated bands ever. It's real and raw, not plastic shiny bullshit, that Long Black Veil is sweet, too bad it's cut off.

actually Robbie sang in 4 Band's songs- "Bessie Smith", "Knockin' Lost John", "To Kingdom Come" and "Out Of The Blue".

He does a cover of Positively 4th street and that's how I started listening to Dylan...now I'm chatting with you fine people! Loving 'The Band'!!!!
