The Late Show with David LettermanMay 15th 2008Russell Brand talks about "Forgetting Sarah Marshal" and how he couldn't get to the Late Show two weeks ago becuase of immigration problems{{{{I think becuase of the ventriloquist being hard to book who was on later, he had to cut russell short... all of his interview guests get 8mins + with some getting 10 minuites minimum, russell was unfortunately unlucky to come on a jam packed show}}}}Enjoy! (Will be on UK TV - Diva TV Sky channel 282 on 29th May @ 9pm)

I'm not knocking American humour at all. I fucking love South Park and the Simpsons. Plus, as well as most of the shit Hollywood churns out, it also produces some gems (not just in the comedy category). I was simply putting crg777 in his place. If he could find me a 8 y/o American kid that could understand, say, Monty Pyton. I'd be impressed.

watch blackadder or red dwarf, both of which can be found on youtube. Then STFU.

qloudz-Well to be fair American humour has given us the simpsons, seinfeld and southpark. Both the British and Americans are about the only nations that produce good comedy and keep the rest of us laughing, when was the last time you seen a good comedy or comedian from anywhere else?

Firstly, Mr Bean is universal comedy. It's meant for all cultures and creed. American humour is mostly toilet humour. Fart jokes, swearing etc. It's mainstream and widespread. Also, I think you'll find the master of unfortunate situations is Ricky Gervais... ie. a Brit.

British humor is similar to the humor of an 8 year old American child. Watch anything by Mr Bean, Monty Python, or Benny Hill and you will understand. If you find men in drag, cheesy dialogue, fast motion sketches, shtick slapstick comedy, or no plot or realism, then you'll enjoy british comedies. American comedies are based more upon finding the humor in real life issues, irony, culture, unfortunate situations. Much funnier!

Not bad actually, they're rebuilding a new one right now. Hows John Lennon doing?

Well, I get his humor and am convinced most people get it too. He's the consummate audience pleaser. He does whatever it takes to make me laugh and it's appreciated!! Your common dumbass (every country has em, believe me) won't get him at all, agreed.
