how refreshing to hear someone being so at ease with who they, warts an all, and so disarmingly honest. people with this amount of integrity are inspiring. and I am getting so sick of the superficial nonsense that passes for communication in business, and with many business leaders today. and staff are too. go gerald!

I've heard Gerald Ratner speak at a conference about his trials and tribulations and found him to be a funny, clever man with a very moving story to tell. I hadn't expected that. Life only asks of us that we get up after we fall. When it's such a long and fast fall as Gerald describes in this book, it takes a lot to get up again. I don't know what he was like before his fall, but he seems living proof to me that we are forged in adversity - that it can make us better, more humble people. |
