Good old times when everybody could smoke...

I really appreciate the commentary Jerry Lewis added at the end. Jokes aside as well as show camaraderie, we can see how these men take their work as serious entertainers. Now if only a woman could put a work or two in there, that would be nice.

They did know then. I remember in the late fifties, people saying smoking will give you cancer. There is even a reference to it the movie "Casablanca". Anti-smoking commercials were on TV in the late sixties. People just thought it would never happen to them.

I agree, Cosby didn't looked thrilled. On the other hand, maybe he was just doing that "I'm too cool to giggle and have a good time" thing that so many men do.

i've never seen this footage before! Definitely had me laffing..see that's the beauty of that time that sadly ended in the 70's..one could poke fun at someone at the expense of their gender, religion, race, height, and visual flaws (the glass eye "are you looking at me" joke? PRICELESS!), and NOBODY took offence to it..it was all just ribbing, and was meant to be taken light hearted, and usually the jabs were reciprocated right back at you, and you expected it! Couldn't say that stuff now!
