Somehow I don't think we live in an age now where it is necessary for a civillian to have a weapon. The US government has gone through periods of corruption aswell... I fail to see how civillian armament prevents the corruption of a government.

Usulic you are a dumbass... I have 2 answers for your gun concerns that might help you understand why our founders secured this right for us.... If you live in a country with no guns, some other country will come and shoot your people and pillage your land because you have no guns. Live in a country where only the military has guns and the government will eventually become corrupt and pillage its people who without guns cant fight back... checks and balances here in America.
