Nejnovější betaverze virtualizačního nástroje VMWare Fusion nabízí mnoho novinek, především však přichází s 3D podporou na úrovni DirectX 8.1. Vyzkoušel jsem Windows XP SP2 v takto emulovaném prostředí včetně testů v programu 3DMark 2001.Poznámka: Rychlost na screencastu je hodně degradována programem pro zachytávání videa, bez něj je rychlost přibližně třikrát vyšší než můžete vidět na videu. Při porovnání je rychlost v 3DMarku 2001 pod VMWare přibližně o deset procent nižší, než při spuštění přes Bootcamp.Remark: Speed in this video is more then 3times degraded due video grab application...

DirectX is a suite of several API's: DirectSound, DirectPlay, DirectInput, DirectMuic, Direct3D, etc. So DirectX 8.1 includes Direct3D 8.1.
