Race slicks will have to be put on the GTR as well, so we keep it all fair. The GTR has the capability to defeat the ZR1 on the Ring, but there needs to be a pretty bad driver in the ZR1 to lose. It's powerful, but beatable.

This is genius!I couldn't give a monkey's chuff about Nurburgring times unless I'm playing Gran Turismo. Good track car doesn't always mean good road car.To me driving is about enjoyment and the challenge of personal skill (and being better at it than the next guy if you can be). I'm one of those with limitation on cash flow so it means squeezing the best out of a slower car - to a certain extent, it's not what you've got it's how you use it (spot the Cannonball quote).

Standardizing the Nurnberg track times would be a fantastic way to rate a vehicles performance. However; there should also follow several guidelines, 1. One tire company should supply the tires for the course, 2. Only pump gas should be used, octane based on engine design, only set drivers can drive the vehicle performance run, of course they should be well versed in left and right hand drive. Testing should be done around same ambient temperature.

God americans are dumb. The SLR is one of the best cars around. its a luxury supercar that you can every day. who wouldnt want that! What a muppet! The GTR would beat the Corvette every time! The GTR is the better handling and quicker accelleration! |
