So what happened to this rationale? If you saw it then, why are our troops dying there now. We have few (if any) allies in this mess and we are spending 10-15 billion a month on this disaster. This is why politics and war don't mix.

I hate to say it, but I may actually miss Cheney's honesty. I don't care if he thinks he knows more then me about politics and social policy. He wasn't bad at all!
