Let's clear this up:Ryuichi Sakamato from YMO wrote the music. Chris Modsell wrote the lyrics for the YMO version. Greg Phillinganes covered it in 1985. Michael Jackson wrote the lyrics for Phillinganes' version. Clapton covers the Jackson written version here. Phillinganes was the studio and touring keyboardist for both Jackson and Clapton. Phillinganes is featured on Clapton's August album.
