With polls, I meant polls where only economists participate regarding who is most competent when it comes to the economy, Obama or McCain.

jxtxdxHalf of the economists polled were die hard republicans and as you can see also them favored OBAMA with a large margin versus McCAIN. It's not The Economist which is important here but the economists they polled. Further The Economist has a circulation of 1.3 millions together with a reputation going back to 1843 to protect.Please give us the source to polls which favor McCain with regards to the economy.

Respectfully, that information should be taken with a grain of salt, considering The Economist is very liberal, left leaning magazine. Similar polls find McCain in favor; depends on who your asking. Really, neither candidate has a decent grasp of economics, and I believe that is self-admitted by each of them. Personally, I think thats the problem with most political candidates; economics backgrounds should be E-fucking-ssential.

The Economist conducted its own poll of renown economists, and found that the economists overwhelmingly agreed that OBAMA is by far the stronger candidate when it comes to the economy.80% respondents agreed that OBAMA has a better grasp of economics (versus 8% for McCAIN), and 81% believed that OBAMA would pick the better economic team (versus 14% for McCAIN).Even among die hard REPUBLICAN econmists, 46 % said OBAMA had a better grasp of economy against 23 % who said McCAIN had.
