I could be wrong about this, but I think uni- is a Latin prefix and mono- is actually from Greek.I am so sad right now that airline luggage weight regulations forced me to leave my Latin dictionary at home when I went to college this year. STUPID 50-POUND WEIGHT LIMIT.
