Yeah I know Gusty but I guess I would say that it's different in a way that these women (not only meaning this tribe but the others out their also on different continents) mutilate themselves, they "matchup" their bodies permanently even if it has become a culture/tradition I cannot get over the fact that such things are encourage..gosh, trying to word it all properly,these women go through soo much pain and have to bare it all in the name of fashion/beauty/men etc. It's just kinda hearbreaking.

But what i also thought of was that its not like these things doesn't exist within western culture as well, with the unnatrual thin/slim ideal, high heels (not good for you), all sort of things, wich women don't seem to question at all, it's strong for a woman to say, no i won't be quiet nice and laugh at mens bad jokes just to boost their ego and get their attention....the examples can become a book...

Gusty85: :'( so true! always the woman to suffer! we really are the strongest, all the sh*t and pain we go through by choice and also not by choice and still live and go on. Just painful & horrible to see. So glad not to be of that part of the world & stuff! so much to be grateful for! cool to some but sad for me, some traditions are worth breaking out of. Besides that and the major sunburn, they look nice! :). Hope they will be instilling CHOICE more for their women.

culture or no culture. what really sucks that it seems always bee women suffering to please the man. i'm happy to see the girl in the end realise her own value with or without trying to please an old abstract tradition.

women, you want to be in the same league as men, but you still want customs like , a man has to hold the door open for a woman, let her pass first, give your seat to a woman, help her carry her bags, because shes a lady, what kinda mind fuck is that? The day we'll treat you as equals will be the day you will stop expecting things of us just because you're women.

ive seen in asia women wear neck rings to elongate they necks.i think for beauty.that is kinda hot!
