zooropa is when u2 began t go off the rails into cynicism and unadulterated vanity.

Zooropa is (inmho) their best album. The most "soulful" and their most "honest" . Its dark. I like dark

Lemon=Zooropa's best song to me, with numb in 2nd, although not one of their stronger albums. I think the high-pitch of Bono's vocals in this song are haunting, and truly fit the Macphisto character. It's diifrent U2 with not really any 'beauty' element put into this song like most of their hits, but rather experimentation. And also to note, after the Zooropa era, Bono's voice was getting shot through Popmart and did come back in time, but Lemon was the last song Bono could hit high-pitched key.

I agree Lemon is completely underrated. And Macphisto is completely understood. What U2 created here is genius.

I love Lemon beyond all reasonable love. It's at once utterly haunting, fascinating, experimental and exactly the sort of thing I wish U2 would do again. It will never happen, because so many people don't get it, but at least we can listen and watch and appreciate.Macphisto is the ultimate tragic character; towards the end of this video always makes me sad. And the little taglines are really funny!
