My comment was in response to "fuck the troops. thats right, I said it. They're not fighting for our freedom, our freedom was never at stake. Neither was our safety as a country. We are not and never were protecting Iraq, we're destroying it. It's a quagmire that continues because of mindless nationlism. Freedom comes at a price? I'm against the war, but I support the troops. I respect how they fight this war, and I hope they will all come home safe and unharmed, but obviously not everyone is that lucky and blessed. People die, people fight... It's just the way it goes unfortunatly.

"such as the president being able to send troops to iraq just because he says so."Just wanted to clear this us, the President does not traditionally have this power.Congress must declare war on a nation for the president to deploy troops.Or in the case of Iraq, give the president congressional authority to deploy troops at his discretion without a declaration of war.Bush is a Douchebag yes, but we should NOT let Congress scapegoat him for something they were all privy to as well.
